Rules

1. DEADLINE: Entries must be postmarked NO EARLIER THAN July 1, 2017, and NOT LATER THAN September 1, 2017. Last postmark date Sept. 1, 2017. No poems will be returned, so poets should retain copies.        

2. FEES: Entry fee is $10 and covers one or all entries for nonmembers. PSI/ISFPC members may enter all contests for $7 (for one or all categories).To be counted as member, you must renew your  PSI/ISFPC Membership and be current (dues paid) with the new “Poetry Year” for July 1, 2017-June 30, 2018 year.

3. Entries must be the original work of the entrant.

4. Poems must NOT have been previously published in any form --  print, online, electronically, or on exhibition.

5. Only ONE POEM may be entered in each category. Those poems may not be entered in any other contests, or in any other category.

6. ALL poems must be titled except the Haiku and Senryu forms, or others as that form may dictate.  

7. Poems must be typed on white 8 ½” X 11” paper. Please use dark ink and normal font.

8. Send an original and a copy of each poem. NO PERSONAL identification on the original. Name and address belong in the upper right-hand corner of the copy. ALL pages must have the contest number and CORRECT contest name in the upper left-hand corner. Please do not fold.

9. Please separate originals from copies and arrange them IN ORDER.

10. Poems must also be sent as attachments to: [email protected] in docx format. The top three winning poems in each category will be published in the PSI/ISFPC Anthology 2017 “Ink to Paper,” Subject Line: PSI Poetry Contest 2017. In the body of the email, include name and contact information.

11. Include a SASE with correct postage if you wish to receive a WINNERS’ LIST.

12. By your submission of poetry to this contest, you are   acknowledging that you (poet/author) give PSI/ISPFC exclusive first printing rights to all 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winning poems entered in the PSI/ISFPC Fall Rendezvous Poetry Contest, and that honorable mentions/citations will not be published, yet titles will be listed in the Winning Poems Anthology “Ink to Paper.”   Printing Rights revert back to poet after the anthology is published.
